Description
Mozart's first work for the stage was originally an "intermedium" whose three sections alternated with the five acts of a spoken play in 1767. Both plots are interrelated owing to their common motifs. Mozart's work draws on the ancient spring myth associated with the metamorphosis of Hyacinth.
